Can eco-friendly paints really match the color range of conventional paints?

Layering is key, as someone mentioned. I used Lullaby Paints for my kid’s room and by layering different shades, I achieved a depth of color that I didn’t think was possible with eco-friendly options. Plus, the peace of mind knowing it’s safer for my child is priceless.

I think it’s also worth mentioning the finish. I used Green Planet Paints and found that choosing a matte finish helped to enhance the color in a way that a glossier finish wouldn’t. It’s all about experimenting with what you have to work with.

Has anyone tried custom mixing with eco-friendly paints? I’m curious if that’s a viable option for getting those hard-to-find shades. I’ve been considering it for my next project but haven’t taken the plunge yet.

I’ve been using Old Fashioned Milk Paint for some furniture projects and the color options are surprisingly versatile. They offer a range of pigments that you can mix yourself, which has been a game-changer for me. It’s a bit more work, but the results are worth it.
