I’ve had a different experience with milk paint in high-traffic areas. I used it in my kitchen, and with a good sealer, it’s held up surprisingly well against spills and stains. The key is in the preparation and application. It might be a bit more work upfront, but the payoff is worth it for that authentic, old-world charm.

Lime wash is definitely easier to touch up, which is a big plus in high-traffic areas. I’ve used Earthborn Paint’s lime wash in my hallway, and it’s been great for hiding scuffs and marks. Plus, the breathability of lime wash is a bonus for older homes, helping to prevent moisture issues. It’s something to consider if your home has any dampness problems.

It’s interesting to hear everyone’s experiences. I haven’t tried either yet, but I’m leaning towards lime wash for my project after reading these comments. The idea of easier maintenance and the unique texture is appealing. Does anyone have tips on choosing the right color with lime wash? I’ve heard it can look different once it’s applied compared to the sample.
