Hey everyone!
I’ve been diving deep into the world of natural paints recently, especially since moving to a more humid climate. The battle against mold and stains is real here, and I’m on a mission to find the best non-toxic solutions that don’t compromise on performance or the planet.
I’ve experimented with a few brands, but Earthborn Paints really stood out for their clay-based options. They’re breathable, which is crucial for preventing mold, and their VOC-free formula is a big win for indoor air quality. I used their Eggshell No. 75 in my bathroom, and so far, so good! No signs of mold, and it’s holding up beautifully against moisture.
Before settling on Earthborn, I tried Auro’s natural paints, which are also fantastic for their eco-credentials. However, I found they required a bit more maintenance in high-humidity areas.
I’m curious, has anyone else found a natural paint that’s a champ against humidity and stains? How do you balance eco-friendliness with durability in your projects? Let’s share our experiences and tips for keeping our homes healthy and beautiful, naturally!
I’ve been using Earthborn Paints for a couple of years now, and I must say, their performance in humid climates is impressive. The breathability factor is a game-changer for preventing mold. I used their Claypaint in my kitchen, and it’s been holding up against moisture and stains remarkably well. Highly recommend giving it a try if you’re still exploring options!

I’ve been on the lookout for eco-friendly paint options too, especially since I moved to a place where humidity is a constant battle. Earthborn Paints sound promising. I’m curious, how does the color selection hold up over time in such conditions? I’ve had issues with fading in the past.
I tried Earthborn Paints in my living room, and while I love the eco-friendly aspect, I found the coverage a bit lacking compared to traditional paints. Did you have to apply multiple coats to get the desired effect, or was it just me?

That’s interesting about Auro’s natural paints requiring more maintenance. I’ve been using them in my studio, and while I love the finish, I did notice it needs more frequent touch-ups. Maybe I should give Earthborn a try next time. How does the price compare?

The breathability aspect of Earthborn Paints sounds like a real advantage. I’m curious, does this mean it’s also better for older homes with less ventilation? I’m renovating a historic property and looking for the best options to prevent mold without compromising the building’s integrity.

Lime-based paints sound intriguing! I’ve been on the fence about trying them because of the application process you mentioned. How did you find the learning curve? Did you need any special tools or just the usual brushes and rollers? Also, have you noticed any difference in how the room feels temperature-wise with lime paint compared to conventional paints?

I’ve been using Biofa’s eco-paints and they’ve been a game-changer for me. They’re not just non-toxic but also have this unique way of dealing with moisture that keeps mold at bay. I used it in my kitchen, and despite the steam from cooking, the walls are holding up great. Have you or anyone else tried Biofa? I’m curious how it compares to Earthborn and Auro in terms of durability and finish.

That’s awesome to hear about your success with lime-based paints! I’ve been considering them for my bedroom but was worried about the color options. Did you find a good range of colors, or is it more limited compared to traditional paints? Also, how does it handle stains? I have a couple of art pieces that might get close to the walls, and I’m a bit concerned about potential marks.
I’ve been using ECOS Paints in my home, and I must say, they’ve been a game-changer for me. Living in a humid area, I was constantly battling mold, but since switching to ECOS, I’ve noticed a significant reduction. Their zero-VOC formula is a bonus for keeping the air clean. Plus, the durability is impressive, especially in high-traffic areas.

Has anyone tried making their own natural paint? I’ve been experimenting with milk paint recipes, and while it’s a bit of a learning curve, the results are pretty rewarding. It’s definitely more labor-intensive, but the customization and eco-friendliness are worth it. Plus, it’s a fun project to tackle on weekends.
