Hey everyone!
I’ve been on a mission to make my home as eco-friendly as possible, and one of the biggest changes I’ve made is switching to natural paints. It all started when I was renovating my living room and stumbled upon a local shop that specializes in eco-friendly paints. I was amazed by their selection and the passion they had for sustainability. I ended up choosing a lime-based paint from EcoColors, which not only gave my walls a beautiful, breathable finish but also had minimal environmental impact.
This experience got me thinking: how can we, as a community, better support these local eco-friendly paint shops? I’ve tried a few brands now, including EarthPigments and BioShield, and each has its unique benefits, from zero VOCs to being made from renewable resources. But beyond just buying their products, what are some other ways we can help these businesses thrive? Have any of you organized community workshops, shared their products on social media, or found other creative ways to support them?
I’m really curious to hear about your experiences with local eco-friendly paint shops. What brands have you tried, and how was your experience with application and durability? Also, if you’ve found innovative ways to support these businesses, please share! Let’s brainstorm some best practices together.

Hey @GreenThumbJenny, great topic! I’ve been a fan of BioShield for years. Their clay paints are not only eco-friendly but also incredibly durable. I think one of the best ways to support local shops is by spreading the word. I often share my projects on social media, tagging the brands and shops I use. It’s a small gesture, but it helps raise awareness. Also, attending workshops they host can be a great way to learn and show support.
Thanks, @EcoWarriorDave! I love the idea of sharing projects on social media. It’s such a simple yet effective way to support these businesses. I’ll definitely start doing that. Has anyone else tried BioShield? I’m curious about their application process.

I’m all for supporting local eco-friendly paint shops! One thing I do is leave detailed reviews online after purchasing. It helps others make informed decisions and supports the shop’s reputation. Also, I always ask if they have any loyalty programs or if they accept donations for community projects. Every bit helps!

Leaving detailed reviews is such a smart move. I’ve been doing that too, especially on platforms where people are actively looking for eco-friendly options. I’ve been experimenting with different eco-friendly paint brands too, and it’s been a journey. Some have been amazing, while others didn’t quite meet my expectations in terms of durability. But I think it’s important to share both the good and the bad. It helps the shops improve and helps other consumers make better choices. I’ve also started hosting small workshops at my place, showing friends how to use these paints. It’s been a great way to spread the word. Have you ever thought about doing something like that?
