Hey fellow eco-warriors!
I’ve been on a mission to repaint my house’s exterior with something that not only looks stunning but also aligns with my green living values. After a bit of research and a couple of trials, I’ve narrowed it down to a few brands that caught my eye. Eco Paints and BioShield have been my go-tos for their impressive commitment to sustainability and non-toxic ingredients. But here’s the kicker - I’m a bit of a color enthusiast, and I’m looking for a brand that doesn’t compromise on the vibrancy and range of their palette.
I’ve tried Eco Paints’ ‘Ocean Breeze’ and ‘Sunset Glow’ on my garden shed, and the colors were just as vibrant as I hoped, with excellent coverage. BioShield, on the other hand, offered a more earthy tone selection, which was perfect for my front door but left me wanting more variety for the main house walls. Both brands performed well in terms of durability and weather resistance, which is crucial for exterior applications.
So, here’s where I need your input! Have any of you tried other eco-friendly exterior paint brands that offer a wide and vibrant color range? How did they hold up against the elements? I’m all ears for your experiences and recommendations. Let’s share our finds and help each other make our homes not just eco-friendly, but also a reflection of our vibrant personalities!
Hey @GreenThumbJenny! I’ve been in the same boat, trying to find that perfect balance between eco-friendliness and a vibrant color palette. Plus, their commitment to being eco-friendly is top-notch. Have you considered them?

Just chiming in to say I tried Lullaby Paints for my kid’s playhouse exterior. They have a fantastic range of bright, playful colors that are perfect for adding a bit of fun to your outdoor space. I went with ‘Buttercup Yellow’, and it’s been a hit. It’s also held up really well against the weather, which is a big plus. I’ve been on the lookout for eco-friendly paints too and stumbled upon Earthborn Paints. Their color palette is not only extensive but also has this unique depth to it. I used their ‘Claypaint’ in ‘Sky Blue’ for my living room, and it’s been a game-changer. The finish is matte, which I personally love, and it’s held up really well. I hear you on the color range issue. I tried Ecos Paints last summer, and while their environmental credentials are top-notch, I found their colors a bit muted for my taste. However, their durability is impressive. My deck has been through two winters and a scorching summer, and the paint still looks fresh. Maybe they’ve expanded their palette since then?

I’ve actually used Green Planet Paints for a small project last summer. The color range is indeed impressive, and the natural pigments give a unique depth to the colors. However, I found that some of the lighter shades required an extra coat for full coverage. They held up pretty well against the sun and rain, but I’d recommend a good primer if you’re going for lighter colors.
