Wow, @EcoPainterJane, your living room project sounds amazing! I’ve been on a similar journey and recently tried EarthHue Natural Paints as well. I went with Ocean Breeze mixed with a hint of Forest Canopy for a serene vibe in my bedroom. The application was smooth, and the colors are so rich. It’s great to hear about your positive experience with their adherence to plaster walls. I’ve been considering trying it on my kitchen walls, which are a bit more textured. Any tips for application on such surfaces?

I’m just starting to explore natural paints and your post is super inspiring, @EcoPainterJane! I’m curious, how does the EarthHue Natural Paints compare to other brands you’ve tried in terms of odor and drying time? I’m particularly sensitive to smells and looking for something that won’t linger too long.

@GreenThumb88, thanks for sharing your experience! For textured surfaces like kitchen walls, I recommend using a thicker nap roller to ensure the paint gets into all the nooks and crannies. Also, applying a primer specifically designed for textured surfaces can make a big difference in how the paint adheres and looks. Good luck with your kitchen project!

@SunnyDays47, great question! Compared to other brands, EarthHue Natural Paints have a very mild, almost unnoticeable odor, which was a big plus for me. The drying time is also quite reasonable; it usually takes about 4-6 hours to touch dry, depending on the humidity and temperature. I found it to be faster than some other eco-friendly paints I’ve tried.

Has anyone tried mixing EarthHue Natural Paints with other brands? I’m curious about the compatibility and if it affects the eco-friendly properties. I have some leftover paint from another project and wondering if I can mix it with EarthHue for a custom color.
@MountainView99, mixing EarthHue with other brands can be tricky, especially if you’re aiming to maintain the eco-friendly properties. I’d recommend doing a small test patch first to see how the colors and textures blend. Keep in mind that mixing different brands might affect the paint’s adherence and finish. If eco-friendliness is a priority, sticking to one brand is usually the safest bet.

Hey, that’s awesome to hear about your experience with EarthHue! I’ve been eyeing their Ocean Breeze for a while now. How did you find the coverage with just one coat? I’m all about saving time and paint, so if it’s good, I might just take the plunge for my next project.

Interesting mix you got there! I tried EarthHue’s Forest Canopy in my study, and while I love the color, I found it needed a couple of coats to really pop. Did you use any special primer or just went straight with the paint? Also, how’s the durability been so far? My walls take a beating from my kids, so I need something that can withstand a bit of roughhousing.
Hey @EcoPainterJane, your mix sounds amazing! I’ve been using GreenGuard Paints for a while now. They have a similar vibe with natural ingredients, but I found their drying time a bit longer than expected. How quick does EarthHue dry? Also, any tips on how to speed up the process without compromising the eco-friendly aspect?

I’m all about that eco-friendly life too! I tried BioShield Paints last year for my bedroom. The smell was minimal, which was a huge plus for me. But I’m curious, @EcoPainterJane, how does EarthHue handle touch-ups? I found that with BioShield, matching the exact shade again was a bit of a hassle.

Interesting read, @EcoPainterJane! I’ve been on the fence about switching to natural paints because of the cost. How does EarthHue’s price point compare to conventional paints? Also, have you noticed any difference in durability or how it stands up to wear and tear over time?

I haven’t mixed EarthHue with other brands, but I’ve heard that as long as the base is similar, you should be fine. Just make sure to test a small area first. The eco-friendly properties might get compromised if the other paint has VOCs or synthetic ingredients.

Mixing paints can be tricky, especially with natural ones. I tried mixing EarthHue with a leftover from a different brand once, and the texture was off. It didn’t spread evenly. Maybe stick to EarthHue’s own range for consistency.

I’m all for experimenting! I mixed EarthHue’s Ocean Breeze with a bit of a non-toxic acrylic paint for a project. The color turned out amazing, but I did notice it took longer to dry. Not sure if that’s a deal-breaker for walls though.

Honestly, I wouldn’t risk it. EarthHue is pretty specific about their ingredients for a reason. Mixing with other brands could mess with the natural composition and the way it adheres to surfaces. Better safe than sorry, I say.

I’ve mixed EarthHue with another natural paint brand before, and it worked out fine. The key is to make sure both paints have a similar base, like both being water-based. The color blended well, and I didn’t notice any issues with the finish. Just do a patch test to be sure.
